a little About jamie:
Jamie's love of reading can be traced back to a Sidney Sheldon novel his grandmother purchased at a tag sale when he was young. He's been addicted to books ever since.
He prefers getting lost in the pages of a book to just about anything, and it's that love of reading which sparked his interest in writing.
He currently lives in a small, humid city in Alabama, where the only thing he pines for is a cooler climate.
The sequel to Blood Born, Blood Awakening, will be released by Pendrell Publishing April 23, 2013
Tell me about writing Book Awakening, did you know where the story was going?
Writing Blood Awakening was great because it gave me a chance to delve further into the lives of characters I truly love. I got to explore more possibilities with them and what they're lives are like after the events of Blood Born, and move them further toward the end goal. And yes, I knew how book 2 would begin and end. :)
Do you know how the series will end?
I actually knew the ending before I even started writing the first book. I knew how the series would start, how each book would begin and end, and how the overall series would wrap up. Everything in the middle is a fun and exciting discovery as I write, but I've known all along where this story is headed. And just a heads up...it's not all happily ever after!
QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS:
What’s your nickname?
Actually my nickname is Jamie, lol. It's short for James (which is way too formal for me).
Tom & Jerry. And I'm talking old-school, 80s and 90s Tom & Jerry, not the remake they had a couple years ago.
Favorite Fast Food?
Oh, burgers, easily. If I knew it wouldn't ultimately kill me, I'd eat them every day. Especially What-a-burger. Mmmm.
What is your most overused phrase?
He/She went ber-serk. That hyphen you see there? That's dramatic pause, of course. (it's a fun saying, try it sometime)
Thing that makes you the most angry?
The most angry? Animals being mistreated. Seriously, makes me wanna hurt someone. I love animals more than anything, and can't handle seeing them abused.
Vampires or Werewolves?
Aliens – Good or Bad?
Ooh, tough one. I'm gonna have to say both (I know, cop out). I love the aliens in the movie Aliens, but I also love the ones in Jennifer Armentrout's Lux series (helloo, Daemon)!
Oh, I have so many. Um, worst one...let's see...cockroaches. Yeah, gonna have to go with cockroaches. I'll hurt myself trying to get away from those things.
If you could drive any car in the world, what would it be?
The car Janet Leigh drove in Psycho. Now that would be something, wouldn't it?
Favorite Vacation Spot?
New York City, hands down. There's just so much to see and do there. I'ma gonna live there one day, I tell ya.
