Reading glasses enabled me to accomplish what needed to be done for the last couple of years, yet writing for an extended period of time was still a struggle, and reading for fun was no longer fun at all. A few months ago I decided enough was enough and sought out a good doctor for LASIK surgery.
It has been thirteen days since my procedure. I can now see to drive without the aid of contacts or glasses (which is amazing, my prescription was a -7.0 and -7.5), yet I am still struggling to see up close. Each day gets a bit better, however, even my 24" monitor and Microsoft Word blown up to 150% still seems to be a bit blurry and hard to work on for extended amounts of time.
That being said, I am looking forward to putting the final touches and edits on THE LAST ONES very soon and releasing it shortly afterward. For all you folks who are jonesing for some horror immediately - I give you this... A short video of my eye surgery. This isn't the complete procedure, just all that the hubs could stomach before he shut the camera off. Enjoy!
