Fall of 1992, my freshman year of college, this was my favorite movie I think I had ever seen up until that point. I absolutely fell in love with Gary Oldman, setting my fascination with vampires in stone (as well as my fascination with Gary Oldman for that matter). So today, my trivia question gives me an appropriate excuse to post the picture to the left. (Which was all I really wanted to do.)
Who killed Dracula?

Today I'm going to mix two of my favorite things... vampires and heavy metal.
In the movie "Queen of the Damned," Stuart Townsend, of course, plays the vampire, Lestat. My question... who is the voice of Lestat when he performs?
Note: On the soundtrack, a ton of other quite awesome artists such as Manson, Jay Gordon, David Draiman and Wayne Static are featured, but the artist in quetion is the one whose voice was featured in the movie. (Because of contractual commitments his voice could not appear on the soundtrack.)
Interesting Fact: This person also has a small cameo in the movie as a ticket scalper.

Here’s a little geography question for you smart people out there. (I cheated and looked this up, so I’m not including myself in that group.)

I suppose we could just call this "Interview with the Vampire" Week. Or not. I'm still on my New Orleans kick, so sue me.
Today's trivia question is a little tougher than normal... Are you ready?
Before Tom Cruise was cast as the vampire Lestat, the role of Lestat de Lioncourt (full name, which would also have been a good trivia question!) was offered to another A-lister. Anne Rice had a completely different actor in mind when she originally wrote the novel and sold the rights in the 70's, and the studio had earmarked yet ANOTHER actor before the film was delayed for many years. Name all three of the possible Lestats, the one Anne Rice had in mind for the part, the studio's choice and the one who turned down the role and this week you'll win more than my eternal adoration, I'll send you a postcard and signed bookmark.

Until the release of Life and Death of Lily Drake, every Tuesday will be Vampire Trivia Day on the blog. What do you win, you ask? Why, nothing, except my unyielding admiration for your knowledge of vampire lore and/or vampire pop culture.
Let's get started!
